Dinas Dinlle

In October, my classmates and I were presented with the opportunity to write a new original orchestral work, based on or influenced by the country of Wales. This was led by Mike Roberts, course leader, and Christopher Wood, a proud Welshman and Guildhall patron. Myself and a dozen or so of my peers set about writing these pieces, and mine, based on the beautiful costal village of Dinas Dinlle, was chosen as the winner, allowing me extra time with the orchestra to work on the piece.

A stipulation of this project was that we would conduct our pieces without a click track (like we usually do). This along with the fact I was in my first term and had no experience doing such a thing, made me work very hard to produce a professional product.
