Derry Halloween Festival 2022

One of the first projects I worked on when starting Guildhall was a piece of music for the Derry Halloween Festival. This is a world renowned Halloween festival and one of the biggest in Europe, so the opportunity to be included was too good to pass on. As part of the festival, audiences would walk through the streets of Derry, accompanied by lights and projections, as well as music. It was for one of these 'lots' that I was asked to write music for. I was given Lot 2 Cue 2, 'Crossing the Threshold'. This would be a narrow path filled with moving lights and disorientation. I wrote a piece of largely orchestral music, with added arpeggiated synth tones (to give convey disorientation).
