Barbican Silent Film Festival 2024

I was lucky enough to be chosen to once again participate in the Barbican Film Festival 2024, after doing so also in 2023. This year we were writing music for the 1927 Russian silent film Bed and Sofa, a frank tale of marital disharmony, and the woman's place within it. I was given two scenes to score for piano and electronics. One scene involves the husband returning home to find his wife in bed with one of his friends, and then is relegated to the sofa, and the other scene involved the husband breaking into the house after being evicted some time previously, where he then goes on to have a strained confrontation with both the wife and her new lover.
